Idea!

I had a strange but good idea today morning! A brief description of the kind of dog work that i do for a living will help you better understand the genesis of the idea. The company that i work for earns lots of it's revenues by using Microsoft's Office and Google's Search engine. That implies that i use a lot of MS Office (Excel mostly) or Google engine most of the time. I also worked for an investment banking support team earlier which involved mulling over lots of financial reports (PDF's).

If you are smart (technologically speaking), you would have by now guessed what am i trying to get to. If not, don't worry. May be you are just having a bad day! The idea that i had this beautiful morning was that the Acrobat PDF's can be embedded with the Microsoft Office. i.e If the table in the PDF was actually an excel object earlier, the table can be edited at ease. And, the text in the PDF can be editable too! Will it save any time or add any value? I guess yes. I wonder if there any such opensource applications already available. Any linux geeks reading this blog may kindly reply to this.

So, what's all the fuss about? Nothing much really. One of my friends asked me to write something on the blog. And this is all i could manage for the boring tuesday afternoon at office. It also feels good to talk about technology ideas and especially so, if you are a dumb ass with technology!

I wish i had the ability to write long and interesting blogs and that's my only wish in life right now. I feel like such a dumb idiot when i lack topics for blogs. Am i really that dumb? I guess no. I think am just plain simple and don't believe in writing complicated blogs which confuse the readers to no end. I too have my share of opinions on all kinds of so called "important" issues of my profession, my country, my favourite sport and the likes but i prefer to keep them to my own. I like being involved in an informal dialouge with a friend about the government's new sick idea of extending reservations but am not really the kind of a person who would write a blog on it. May be am just too lazy. That ends the matter and today's blog. Have a nice day!

i dont think i hav the capacity to comment on anyones thots, but just that it is a blog, wel anyways.
The idea u gave was decent, especially the purpose behind it was more natural than i have come across any blog. i wanna deliberately take a turn from the story line and just introduce a new topic for discussion.
most of the bloggers i have come across actually write something first and then they try to find a reason. The reasons are very glorious in terms of verbose, suggesting some kinda deepness.. i feel there s only one thing a man can be deep at. and thats the for the greatest pleasure God has blessed us with the opposite sex. other than that, i feel its all "gas". The depth of a person is seen by the simplicity with which he can put thots across. Just like once u told me how ernest hemingway used to put his stories across. i feel thats depth. Depth of a man's knowledge according to me is also measured by a ver important quality "anticipation". The husband who has to take car of his wife, children and parents, the prime minister who needs to tak car of the entire conty and even a military general, who has to face the toughest battles in his life against death, everyday. all these men can turn up, go to work and come back every day. but a truly successful man wud be one who wud plan his life according to the days he expects to encounter. at times he might be wrong. but the advantages fat outweigh the disadvantages. imagine for a middle class guy, he anticipates, the inflation nearing high, and buys a much needed house quickly when the interest rates are favourable, saves valuable money which wud have gone in installments and installs wonderful accesories at his new house. or imagine a general who anticipates the enemy attack from a particular direction and fortifies the area with barbed wires & concrete, giving him a defensively high position. all this things cud go wrong, but thats where the depth of ur knowledge, and importantly ur experience comes in. again i beleive experience is something which u cant bargain for, but u can learn from the others mistakes, learn from oterhs successes, and know when to implement them. The depth of a sea is not measured by the velocity or the ferocity of its waves, coz in the end these waves are gonna take u ashore where u will live. but in the deafening silence that a half moon sea depicts in its waters, i then wanna know a person who can swim the sea across..
